Tyson Thacker

CEO, Investment Advisor Representative

Tyson Thacker is the co-founder and CEO of B.O.S.S. Retirement Solutions.  He is co-host of Retirement Solutions Radio on KSL 1160 and KNRS 570.  Tyson also appears frequently as one of the local experts on ABC’s Good 4 Utah.

He is co-author of three different books and a contributor to FoxBusiness.com.  He has appeared on Fox Business News where he was recognized for his expertise in the arena of retirement income and wealth management.  He has also been seen on CNN, MSNBC and NBC.
Tyson’s primary focus is in the field of retirement income planning, and he is passionate about helping clients achieve their financial goals during retirement using the B.O.S.S. Retirement Blueprint.

Tyson graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in business management.  Throughout his career, he has focused on mortgage, banking, real estate development, personal finance and wealth management strategies.

Ryan Thacker

Brandon Olson, Investment Advisor Representative

Brandon P. Olson is a Retirement Advisor with B.O.S.S. Retirement Solutions. His primary focuses are income planning, wealth preservation and tax planning. He enjoys helping his clients find desirable retirement solutions as part of investing their lives in their work and family.

Brandon has been involved with investment management for most of his career. He graduated from Brigham Young University with his Bachelors and Masters of Accountancy with an emphasis in tax. He has worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a CPA, focusing on all areas of taxation, and as a chief financial officer of several prominent Utah companies. He is licensed as a CPA and Real Estate Agent and holds his Utah insurance license and his Series 65 securities license.

As the former president of Norbest, Brandon successfully led business relationships to produce more than $150 million in sales and marketing while managing $35 million in lending. Brandon has been featured on Zions Bank’s popular Speaking on Business radio show, and in 2004 he was one of seven national finalists for finding new home construction solutions by the National Home Builders Association of America.

Brandon and his wife, Kory, enjoy supporting their blended family of seven children in all of their extra-curricular activities. He currently serves as the charter president of a tax-free non-profit organization, which helps families who are struggling with life’s challenges.

Brian J. Ward, Investment Advisor Representative

Having more than 16 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Brian thoroughly enjoys helping his clients understand the advantages and disadvantages of every financial decision they make, as well as helping them create and execute material financial plans. Prior to joining the family business, he owned a successful mortgage brokerage for 13 years.

Brian graduated from Utah Valley University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is a licensed insurance agent as well as an Investment Advisor Representative.  He lives in Pleasant Grove with his wife of 16 years and four children.

Ed Griffin, Investment Advisor Representative

For more than 20 years, Ed has built a career in the financial services industry by helping individuals grow, manage and preserve their assets. His focus has been retirement income planning as well as wealth management. In this time, he has worked with banks, credit unions, and his own financial planning practice. He has advised hundreds of individuals over the years through a series of financial seminars and talks. He also works closely with CPAs, helping them provide better service to their best clients.

As an avid outdoors enthusiast, Ed enjoys mountain biking, skiing and traveling. He spends time coaching and riding with several local youth mountain bike teams. In addition, Mr. Griffin is a volunteer leader with the Boy Scouts of America and remains active in his community and church.

Ed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Montana. He also holds his Utah State Insurance license and is licensed as a Registered Investment Advisor. He resides in Draper with his wife of 25 years, two of their five children still left at home and their chocolate lab.

John Brough, Investment Advisor Representative

John has been in the Financial Services industry for 18 years. His areas of expertise include investment portfolio design and management, risk management, retirement planning, asset protection, and overall comprehensive financial planning. John works with his clients to make sure their investment strategy and financial plan continue to be tailored to their specific needs.

John most enjoys meeting with clients to offer advice on their financial issues. He wants every person that comes into contact with our firm to know their well-being is important to us.

John and his wife, Kristen, live in Kaysville. They are very happy to be part of this community and feel it is a wonderful place to live and raise their daughter, Kayci, son, J.P and daughter, Lauren. In his free time, John enjoys many outdoors activities, skiing, his two Labrador retrievers, fishing, baseball- John is a die-hard Red Sox fan, as well as spending summer weekends working on his 200-acre family farm.

John holds his state of Utah insurance as well as his Series 65license. John earned his Masters of Business Administration and earned a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in Finance from Weber State University.

Dave Whitworth, Investment Advisor Representative

Retirement Income Planning Professional Dave Whitworth helps clients understand the impact B.O.S.S. Retirement Solutions can have on their retirement years. He forms relationships with clients as he provides information to them on the focus, history and background of the company, and he assists in identifying areas where his services may be able to enhance retirement income planning. He enjoys the relationships that are created as a trust is built between potential clients and B.O.S.S. Retirement Solutions. He looks to provide exceptional customer service and ensure that every financial goal is considered when clients work with our organization.

Dave strives to provide an experience that shows the value B.O.S.S. Retirement Solutions can offer each client. He makes every effort to deliver the highest level of customer service to help support clients’ paths toward financial independence in retirement.

Dave has degrees in business management and zoology from Brigham Young University and holds life and annuity insurance licenses with the state of Utah as well as his Series 65 license.

Dave is an outdoor and recreation enthusiast, originally from Wisconsin. He enjoys playing basketball, golf, volleyball and cycling. With his wife, he stays busy supporting the activities and needs of their five children, and he enjoys attending their sporting and dance events.

David Crandall | Medicare Specialist and Client Relations

Retirement Income Planning Professional David Crandall’s focus is to assist the marketing efforts of B.O.S.S. Retirement Solutions by welcoming clients and preparing them for appointments with our other agents and advisors. He conducts personal reviews with our clients to generate the appropriate reports needed to help design a strategy to take steps toward maximizing their retirement income.

David is our in-office Medicare specialist.  He can answer all of your questions and help you understand how Medicare can help fit into your plan.

David participates in seminars and client appreciation events to strengthen our relationships with our clients. He also acts with the B.O.S.S. Retirement Solutions team to review the quality and effectiveness of program improvements.

David received a bachelor’s degree in life sciences from Brigham Young University. He holds his life and annuity insurance licenses with the state of Utah.

It is David’s privilege and goal to provide the highest-quality service so our clients have the very best experience. He wants our clients to know why we believe we may be the best retirement income planning company for them.

David enjoys spending time with his wife, their 10 children and two dogs. He and his wife also enjoy riding road bikes together.

Charlie Maynes | Client Services, Investment Advisor Representative

Client Services and New Business Specialist Charlie Maynes’ focus is to facilitate fund transfers on behalf of new clients and ensure the seamless processing of new client applications. He also helps in general operations processing and client service. His business goal is to simplify processes for our clients and make every client interaction with B.O.S.S Retirement Solutions a positive experience.

Charlie received his Bachelor’s Degree and holds Utah life and health insurance licenses as well as his Series 63 and Series 65 securities license.

Charlie enjoys spending time with family, hiking, backpacking, camping, reading, writing, art and basketball.

Ryan Landvatter | Client Services, Investment Advisor Representative

Ryan Landvatter has spent the past decade in the financial industry improving the customer experience, opening new accounts and transferring assets. He works to ensure all clients’ needs are met as well as help them review their policies to make sure they are getting the most up-to-date information.

Ryan received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Utah. He also holds his series 7 and 63 and 65 licenses.

Ryan enjoys hiking with his wife and five children. He is a talented artist and loves to paint regularly. He also loves having adventures and being active.

Ryan has volunteered at Summit High School in Orem, donating his time and art work. He also has spent time volunteering at the Lehi Literacy Center teaching families English.

Curtis Packer | Client Services, Investment Advisor Representative

With nearly 20 years of marketing experience, Curtis is someone who is comfortable and successful in any client relations environment. Curtis is a skilled communicator, who is able to quickly assimilate new, technical, concepts, and present them within the context of higher-level strategies. He is a hard-working professional who strives to make each and every client feel confident and valued.

Curtis graduated from The University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a minor in Japanese. Curtis lives in Riverton, Utah and has many interests, including running, reading, finance, technology, and music. But he mostly enjoys spending time with his family.

Angie Maynes | Marketing Director

Marketing Professional Angie Maynes oversees the day-to-day execution of action items involving marketing — coordinating newsletters, blog posts, referral program and advertising-based marketing materials — at B.O.S.S. Retirement Solutions. She aims to provide the ultimate client experience through providing helpful information and clear and consistent communication to our valued clients.

Angie received a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Wyoming.

Angie enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, hiking, music, attending her kids sporting events and playing the piano.

Melissa Ceballos | Director of Business Development

With nearly 20 years of experience in varying roles involving HR/Talent Acquisition, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service, Melissa Ceballos serves as our Director of Business Relationships. Having spent much of her time focusing on community outreach and building strong, long-lasting relationships, Melissa drives our corporate outreach program and business-to-business relationships. Her goal is to educate potential clients on the high-touch approach, services, and options that B.O.S.S Retirement Solutions offers.

Melissa grew up in Southern California and moved to Utah to attend and graduate from the University of Utah. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication.

She is married to her husband Paul. They have three children and are very involved with their school, sports, music, and dance programs. They love to travel and spend time with family and friends. Melissa has also been actively involved in the community supporting organizations such as the United Way, The Road Home, and mentoring college students across the state of Utah.

Melanie Tingey | Client Services Specialist

With more than 14 years of customer service and office administrative support background, Client Services Specialist, Melanie Hamann's top commitment is to provide superior client service. Her goal is to make sure that our clients’ service experience with our firm is exceptional.

Melanie assists with client accounts and client requests.  Melanie's knowledge and friendly approach with our clients helps ensures a positive and professional experience.

Melanie graduated with a Business Management degree from BYU, with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship and Marketing.

In her free time, Melanie enjoys spending time with her family, camping, four wheeling, fishing, cosmetology, fashion and entertainment.

Tiffany Parry | Office Administrator and Client Relations

With a passion for assisting others and a strong background in client support, Tiffany enjoys her role as Client Relations Specialist at B.O.S.S. Retirement Solutions. She works as the first point of contact and strives to provide excellent client and staff support while managing the day to day functions of the office. She holds a degree in Information Technology and 15 years of customer support experience. In her spare time Tiffany enjoys family activities, crafting, and volunteering for events and non-profit organizations in her community.

Priscilla Hansen | Office Administrator and Client Relations

Priscilla has over 17 years’ experience in the office involving various roles. She has over 3 years’ experience in the financial industry and strives to offer exceptional client support on all levels. She is currently working on her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at SLCC.

Priscilla grew up in Roy, Utah and moved to Denver in 1999 for 8 years to pursue her career. She moved back to Utah in 2007 to be with her family and raise her daughter. In her free time, Priscilla enjoys spending time with her daughter, reading, cooking, the arts, traveling and anything involving the outdoors.

Rayna Bennett | Office Administrator and Client Relations

Rayna is a highly motivated and driven individual who's meticulous attention to detail makes her a perfect office administrator for our Bountiful location. She has over 18 years of experience in customer service and enjoys helping others at every opportunity.

Outside of B.O.S.S. Retirement Solutions, she enjoys her charity work with the "Ladies of Charity'' and the continual fulfillment she finds while assisting others.

In her free time she enjoys open water diving, sky diving and all outdoor activities and spending time with her two children.

Lisa Nitchman | Finance Director

Finance professional, Lisa Nitchman oversees financial reporting and supporting the HR needs of her fellow B.O.S.S. team members. Her business goal is to provide the tools and information necessary to benefit the staff in order for them to provide even greater benefit to B.O.S.S. Retirement Solutions’ Clients.

Lisa graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors and Masters of Accountancy with an emphasis in tax. She has worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and for several other Utah businesses as a CPA.

Lisa is actively involved with her children’s elementary school’s PTA. She has served in several board positions including treasurer for a couple of years. She enjoys supporting her husband’s military service and supporting military families in her community.

In her free time, she enjoys exercising and spending time hiking, rappelling, and camping with her family. She and her husband enjoy attending BYU football games and their children's sporting events.

Greg Rellaford | Processing

Greg brings a lot of energy to our firm. You’ll always find him with a smile on his face. Greg works in our processing department and finds enjoyment in learning new skills and in serving those around him. He seeks opportunities to excel and make each experience for our clients a memorable one.

Greg has seven years of customer service experience. He is working on a Bachelor of General Studies degree from Brigham Young University and operates his own retail and mentoring business in his spare time.

Greg enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Shanelle. He also loves spending time with his family as well as writing books, building with Legos, singing, and doing service.

Zach Mortensen | Client Services Coordinator

As the Client Services Coordinator, Zach calls our potential and current clients to inform them about upcoming events and collect their information. He has the opportunity to answer some of the first questions clients have when they call B.O.S.S. Retirement Solutions and help them schedule and confirm upcoming appointments. He has a fun personality and enjoys helping all those that call in for our services.

Zach has been working in the customer services setting for 6 years. In high school he started and ran his own lawn care company regularly dealing with new and existing customers. Zach is currently studying at Brigham Young University pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting.

Zach loves to spend time with his amazing wife, Sierra. They love to travel, watch sports, and go on fun adventures. Zach is the oldest of four children and graduated from Lone Peak High School.

 

Cory Richards | Client Services and Processing

Cory assists clients and advisors by reviewing and submitting client applications. With more than 10 years of customer service experience, he strives to make this process seamless and simple for clients while keeping them informed every step of the way. As with all employees at B.O.S.S., it’s Cory’s job to ensure clients are always apriority.

Cory loves to spend time with his amazing wife, Courtney.  They enjoy the outdoors, playing sports and traveling.  Cory enjoys dirt biking, playing golf, basketball and baseball.
