NAMPA, Idaho — Glen Rimbey, affectionately known as "Smiley," is a beacon of hope and transformation in his community, dedicating his life to helping others through his work with Love in the Name of Christ, or Love INC, a program that unites churches to support those in need.

"His heart matches what you see on the outside. It's a rare treasure to see that," said the director, Tracy Wilson. She says Rimbey's infectious positivity and unique skill set have made him an invaluable asset to the organization.

Rimbey's wife, Barbie, said, "He's got skill sets that other people don't seem to have, and he wants to use those to help other people and for the glory of God."

At Love INC, Rimbey helps to restore furniture and appliances for their resale shop, The Grace Place. However, refinishing tables, chairs, and benches is only a fraction of the work that he does for the non-profit. In addition to the second-hand store, Love Inc. offers classes on various life skills and has a housing program. Rimbey is the on-call man for any issues in Love INC's supportive housing.

Glen Rimbey's passion for helping people in our community catches the eye of anyone who knows him. This dedication led to being nominated for a Silver Award. "I don't know what to say... thank you so much," he said, attributing his success to his team. "There's so many people here that are more deserving than I am."

In addition to his work at Love INC, Rimbey is a chairman of the Concerned Citizens of Canyon County and serves on the impact fee committee. Despite his busy schedule, he maintains a clear set of priorities. "In the pyramid of my life, we're looking at God first, family, and things like this," he said.

Rimbey's unwavering commitment to his community continues to inspire those around him. "He doesn't go a day without impacting somebody else in a positive way. And I think the world needs more of that," Wilson.
