Mike Fortin
Investment Advisor Representative
Mike truly embodies our community-first approach at B.O.S.S. For the past ten years, he’s had the privilege of helping fellow Utahns — especially families and small business owners — navigate the complexities of retirement planning and build strategies around what matters most to them. Mike believes great financial planning starts with a genuine desire to help. He takes the time to listen, ask the right questions and understand each client’s unique goals before recommending a path forward. His approach is grounded in honesty, integrity and a deep sense of his fiduciary responsibility to always put the client’s best interests first. Mike enjoys turning complicated financial decisions into clear, understandable conversations — and then collaboratively creating a plan designed around achieving his clients’ goals.
Mike currently holds Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses, along with insurance licenses in life, health, property, casualty, annuity and long-term care. He’s also a lifelong learner, continually looking for new ideas and strategies that can help improve his clients’ financial and retirement plans. His philosophy is simple: start planning earlier than you think, stay consistent and make sure your financial strategy is connected to the life you actually want to live. For Mike, financial planning is about earning trust, doing what’s right and helping people turn their goals and dreams into a realistic plan for the future.
Mike and his wife, Kim, have called Orem, Utah, home for 25 years. Together, they’ve raised three kids and built deep roots in their community. Outside the office, you’ll find Mike landscaping, talking to neighbors, spending time with family, or following his favorite college football and basketball teams. Serving in the community, family game nights and life with their two spirited dogs, Pepper and Guster, keep things busy at home.
